Recently I contacted with them and they told me they are not offering nintendo costume anymore. I will go to tokyo soon and I want to do this dressed as Super Mario. This all cool when you look at it but imagine this during the summer under a scorching sun (nearly 40 degrees C). Plus all the exhaust hitting in your face cuz the kart level is where the exhausts are at.

It doesn't matter any more as its shut down. It would be no fun anyway for those of us that don't have a drivers licence. Something you couldn't do together as partners if one of you doesn't drive. Any as said it's now shut down as others on here have stated so doesn't matter.

What impact does this have on the people of Tokyo? Because I think its Tourists that brought Mario Kart on the street. I dont advise any tourist to drive on the streets of another country unless you know the country for sure. Other than that looks really fun. I would personally try it if it doesn't bother Tokyo residents

This is just a tourist thing not a 'deep cultural experience' many Japanese are against these karts since many tourists have cause accidents in them.
