Just picked this up at Best Buy for my grandma, 406 after tax. It was an open box. Even had I paid full price, this laptop is amazing outside of gaming. Lenovo put a lot of thought into the design, features and functionality.

If I could nitpick this laptop is the fact that the RAM cannot be upgraded. Other than that, I love the battery life, the clear 1080p webcam and how clear the array mics sound. For a Windows laptop, the quality of the bult-in speakers is fine, however, no comparison to the MacBook Pro as it sounds tinny. Other than this, it's a fine laptop especially considering the price! Great review Andrew!! 👍😁

I have this laptop. Just some thoughts after not using it much for 10 months or so of ownership then using it daily for the past 4 months. The screen needed to be replaced during the 11th month of ownership. It's an absolutely beautiful display, but the panel got lines of dead and corrupt pixels on it. The warranty process took what felt like forever, a bit over a month and a half without the relatively new and barely used laptop. Also, I absolutely cannot use it on my lap, it is bakey hot. Painfully hot even. And it's also very heavy. The case construction is gorgeous and feels premium, but I don't know if I'd buy another one. I got our 16" with an i5-1240P cpu, 8 gigs of ram, a beautiful WQXGA touchscreen, 256gb ssd, for $600. Not a bad deal. It's got a backlit keyboard and 4 speakers that sound pretty great. Battery life is underwhelming. As a desktoppy laptop, it's great, which is what we mainly use it for.

I just got this laptop and it is GORGEOUS 😍. I bought this laptop for PDF Style exams which requires me to buy a 2 in 1 (while also being a strict budget) As for my first ever 3 in 1, I'm extremely impressed for first impressions ( I will update in a couple months for the long term)

GREAT Write up Andrew! I'm Still on the fence about the 14 inch unit 7I Yoga 2.2K display 1355U and the Yoga 9i 4K 1360P uni. It's for my wife, who doesn't do much ( coming from a Chromebook to the Windows) Looked at Spectres, and dells, but back to the Lenovos for a better display. She's gonna use it for basic tasks, and watching movies while traveling. Bought the 4K unit open box ( looks brand new with all paperwork and 11 month warranty left for me. for 1020.00 at Bestbuy. The 7i as I can get it same way ( open box at BB for 501.00) so the conundrum continues. Any help would be most appreciated.

Great Review... Never was going for a 2&1 and was opting for the Dell Latitude for around $400+ more with the same options. I'll give this laptop a shot based on this review... plus I haven't been too please with Dell recently. Bought my 3rd XPS PC 13 months ago Nvidia GE-force G-card shit the bed within 11 months (non-extended warranty was 12 mos). They replaced the card, but my problem was I'm thinking I got a lemon. Asked them to extend the warranty bc it happened in less than a yr and I was/am still dealing with flickering screens.. but they said no. I buy a PC and Laptop every 3-5 yrs for work and personal and will probably not buy a dell again. I haven't bought a dell laptop in about 7 yrs and was considering to go back til I saw this review. Hopefully IBM will be better.

Nice PC for the price. Camera looked good and mics sounded okay. Speakers sounded good for a windows laptop. Port selection good although they should have swapped one of usb ports each on each side of the unit. This way they would have a USB-A and USB-C port on each side. Still no big deal. Keyboard layout good. Like the included correctly designed numpad. This might not be the fastest unit but at this price point it is good for those need this type of unit. Creaters and others who need a more powerful unit will look at a different type of unit. Great review as always.

I’ve ordered a certified refurbished unit from eBay, with i7-1360P cpu, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, QHD+ display, for $629.99 before tax. eBay included 2 year warranty from Allstate too! Brand new from Lenovo cost more than twice as much. 😁

Just picked this up with a nice corp discount for work to replace my HP Envy with the same specs (16 RAM, 1 TB storage, i-7 processor). I love the Yoga so much. The HP Envy 2 in 1 was the WORST piece of garbage I've ever owned. I counted the days until I felt I got enough of my moneys worth to replace it. HP Envy started falling apart within 3 months and never worked right from day 1. It never leaves my home office and it looks like it has been through a war from just using it on my desk. The pathetic housing dents if you just look at it wrong way, screen cracked, touchpad died, speakers are so bad had to buy externals, fan runs like a DC-10 getting ready for take-off 24X7 no matter how many apps you shut down. I am so glad to replace it with this awesome Lenovo Yoga. Will never buy an HP again.

Hi Andrew, I try to watch each of your excellent videos, and I wonder (maybe you have already spoken about this) if, for the single core benchmarks, the results are averaged between efficiency and performance cores.
Have you tested (maybe by setting CPU affinity) the difference in numbers between the two types of cores?
Because I see better results on this laptop (2P + 8E cores CPU) than in the last year's one (4P + 8E). In light of these results, doubling the number of performance cores seems not to be that crucial.

Thanks Andrew. Is the 14" version of the 7i the Yoga (360 hinge) or the Slim version (regular laptop)? Thanks for your hard work as always!

I am torn between buying this or the IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 8 (16"AMD). Any advice?

Will this work to use for trading view or is it overkill or will it fall short? Thanks in advance

Loved your video! Just picked this up at Best Buy, but it was the AMD 7000 series. Any major differences to expect here when compared to the i7 model?

Great review. What unit (16”) you will recommend that it will not be that heavy or break the bank

Will there be a battery difference compared to the 16" Amd counter part?

bought mine for £521 in lenovo's flash sale plus student discount. I ended up getting the Yoga 7 with a Ryzen 5 7535U because it was the best value for me in the UK
