Excellent explanation of what I was concerned about with an outside pump = drill a small hole in the pipe so the water self drains. I didn't realize the pumping action occurred deep in the well. Thanks

Great Video Steve, simple fix for a potential problem.
Yea those bleeder holes are used in submersible pumps also to get a air charge in standard tanks. Its a whole different world in freezing climates when dealing with water wells. You have to think about these things or come winter you'll have a problem for sure.

Just recently ran across this pump sold through Lehmans, it LOOKS much better than Simple Pump, but would really like to see a owner who have used both and see which one they prefer, this pump has a Lifetime warranty which I haven't researched to see what all that includes

I'm a well contractor . I install And service water Wells I can't tell from the angle of the camera but it looks like what you have as a pitless adapter I see an electrical conduit going in the side of the casing so do you actually have a submersible pump that powers your home and this is Titan with a check valve or something along those lights so your hand pump can actually draw the water through the intake of the submersible pump when needed otherwise it is powered electrically ?

Hi! Could you please give me the distance from the end of the pump handle to the pump shaft when it's deployed at a 90 degree angle? The top of my well casing is 5 feet below the ground surface and the space there is kind of limited. Thanks, it's greatly appreciated. :)

Great video! Does anybody know how many ounces that cup is that he was holding? Look like it took about three Strokes to get it filled up. Just curious on the actual flow rate since the well depth is similar to mine.
