If you were wondering, wiki says (9/24/21) Paninaro is a term that identifies a custom phenomenon born in the eighties in Milan and then spread first in the Milanese metropolitan area and then throughout Italy and the Canton Ticino. It was characterized by an obsession with designer clothing and adherence to a lifestyle based on consumption that involved every aspect of daily life. The phenomenon soon became known throughout Italy and led to the birth of magazines, films and television parodies.

Pezzo che all'epoca avevo un po' sottovalutato rispetto alla produzione dei miei adorati Pet. Rivisto oggi sono 4.44 minuti di brividi !!!! Pezzo che, musicalmente parlando, rimane assolutamente attuale nonostante il soggetto si sia praticamente estinto. Viva gli anni 80 e la vita vera....fanculo la tecnologia moderna !!!! Tanto dispiacere per i giovani d'oggi che al massimo potranno studiarci come un fenomeno sociologico !!!

This song reminds me of my teenage years in my hometown Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. They played this song like crazy in radio stations, clubs, etc. It also reminds me of a brother and sister that played The Pet Shop Boys religiously and many teenagers used to hang out at their house..glory days! Long live the 80's.

One of the best song's they ever made. Never got the credit it deserved. Another classic from an iconic singer/synth duo that brings back such happy memories of the 80's with leather trousers disco's watered down lager and just happy time's. I'm 59 and would have these day's back in a heartbeat.
