Sadiq Khan accused of spending £22m on ‘woke’ art

Sam Packer from the Tax Payers’ alliance has accused London Mayor Sadiq Khan of mis-spending public funds. It is alleged Mr Khan doubled City Hall’s culture budget to £22m and spent half-a-million pounds on illuminated tree sculptures.

Mr Packer said: “At a time of rising violent crime, more than ever hard working ratepayers want good value local services, not comically wasteful spending paid for by Mr Khan and councils clobbering residents with rising council tax bills."
