I just bought your Sharpandspark mini received it yesterday to sharpen that same Spyderco knife. After spending a few min with it I realize my technique will have to improve, but I have seen a improvement with the blade sharpness. Thanks for the tutorial.

I used the round files from my Nicholas needle file set to start off with since mine was really dull then I used sand paper wrapped around an object that would fit in the individual grooves of the spyderedges like a paper clip for example on those small thin grooves, worked my way up on the grit numbers on the sandpaper, then using a dremel with some flitz polis I removed the small bur on the back side, (wheel obvious spinning in the direction of the edge as to not catch), leaving a razor edge that I can slice through paper as if it was a little pain edge knife, a lot of work indeed but worth it for someone who takes pride in carrying a sharp blade

Yeah, will be sharp for 2-3 days. This does not work, especially not in such a short time IF the blade is really dull. Snake Oil stuff.

this is a random question. I'm a barber and I'm waiting on your sharpener it gets here today. I am also a fisherman so I bought the sharpener to keep my fillet knives sharp. then I thought hmmm I can sharpen my $200 shears I use to cut hair with. my question is can you show me if possible how to sharpen thinning shears with one of your sharpeners? it will save me a lot of money if I know that these sharpeners can sharpen thinning shears.

Oofff ruined that blade. If yall wanna try this go to any hardware store and buy a speedy sharp. Its the exact same thing just 10 bucks instead of whatever this costs now haha
