In this woodworking tips and tricks video, we show you another 5 great workbench life hacks.
In my workshop, the workbench is the hub. Everything I do revolves around the workbench so it no accident that all sorts of little improvements revolve around it, and in the meantime, I am getting a chance to use some of the free, reclaimed lumber I seem to have acquired.

I just watched this today for the first time and I absolutely love this type of video. We all have scrap pieces and this also gives us something to do when we are bored and just want to make sawdust.
Can't wait to find more.

Wow!!!! Just re-watched for probably the 10nth time. Super great tips Collin. Some of these should be re-addressed for some of our new woodworkers!!! These are tips you will not find anywhere else. Thanks Collin for all you do!!!!

Colin, for me you nailed it today! I think I've had challenges with every one of the things you've addressed with these hacks! At the risk of being a "broken record, " thanks so much for doing what you do!

especially liked the triple vee blocks. Until you explained, I was puzzled as to why 3 different sized grooves. now makes perfect sense.

If you drilled a hole all the way through the valley of the V groove, you'd then have a guide that will allow you to drill perfectly centred holes through dowels via the other side.

The vice anti-racking idea is great. I have a wood vice that came out of an old high school and has to be at least 100 years old and I never considered that it could snap in two. like all your lessons on wood working!

That's great information you are sharing there Colin, thank you - what useful ideas so simple - but as you say save you time and money and tool wear, not to mention the safety aspect as well with the V section dowel holders and the the little gadget for saving the woodworking vice, absolutely brilliant thanks mate.

I love your videos. Often the advise you give turns something that would take me an hour, down to a few minutes. I built a jug that took forever to make to hold pipe to cut pipes. Had I seen this, which is quick simple to make and no rigging for different sizes. Good thing is, I am going to cut copper pipes very soon for a project.
