A wonderful idea!
For cat lovers, I recommend Tugay Inanoğlu' channel. He's a Turkish vet, and talks a lot to his 4 legged patients, so you can practice everyday basic vocabulary.
I grew up in France and we make the same ps ps ps noise when calling cats. At least, in my family, we do.
To call a dog, I make that loud lip smacking noise which you do while touching wood to mean 'Hopefully that won't happen' (if I understand well). I have to stop doing that around Turkish people!

Kedilerin tırnaklarına Pençe denir. Tırnak (primatlarda olur) denmez.
