So much has changed in the city since the pandemic and it's scary to be alone. Always try to walk within a group of people but still, you have to protect yourself and be aware of your surroundings. I used to frequent center city every weekend until very late at night to meet friends but then would walk back alone to the patco station and never had an issue but now currently I'm very hesitant and cautious to do that again. U know it's bad when crime is happening in deemed 'safe' areas of the city. 🥺 This poor woman will never be the same ever after the assault regarding her PTSD and she most likely won't be walking anywhere else alone again. Law enforcement has to do better with regards to monitoring these streets and its residents.

This is a horrible experience for any victim. I sincerely feel for her. I do have to wonder why the police don't put this much effort into some other areas like Kensington where this happens on a daily basis. The victims there don't even go to the Police. They are either told that it's their fault for being there, they feel like they've been victimized twice because of the way they are treated by the authorities. I 🙏 for them all no matter where they live.
