EPLAN Black box. Settings, Connection point designation, DT Nesting

In this EPLAN P8 tutorial, I will show you how to use a black box in EPLAN.

The black box is used to represent devices for which there is no corresponding symbol in EPLAN.
For example: To represent complex devices, e.g. frequency converters; these devices are drawn and cross-referenced on several circuit diagram pages.

For displaying various symbols as one device identifier, e.g. motor with brake.

To prevent a fault message when you use the same connection point designation, I will show you the right setting.

Hi and thanks for the great Eplan tutorials. Only watched a few, but will check out more of them.

Just wondering if there's a way to get the dropdown menus back? Or make a custom context (right click} menu? I'm already using the custom toolbar, but that's not optimal. I don't understand why menus often are removed these days... I guess my best option is to make my own ribbon, but that's quite cumbersome..

There is also one interesting thing about black boxes: you "can't" place an interruption points inside of a blackboxes. I struggled to get them working inside blackboxes. After switching ON neccessary settings in project int. points started referancing only when I activated structuring by product.
