Watch Before You Buy A 2022 Honda Accord

For decades, the Honda Accord has enjoyed a deserved reputation for excellence. And the current version, which first appeared in 2018, is no different. In fact, we think it's better than ever. Some 8 inches longer than its compact sibling, the Honda Civic, the midsize Accord offers sleek styling as well as a spacious, well-appointed cabin with easy-to-use tech and one of the segment's roomiest trunks. But its strongest trait is only apparent once you take it for a spin. Despite its family-car roots, the Accord is truly fun to drive, thanks to a compelling combination of engaging handling, responsive performance, and comfortable ride. The base 1.5-liter engine offers plenty of pep — not to mention good fuel economy — while an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter ups the fun quotient considerably. A fuel-sipping hybrid version is also available. The Accord's ongoing excellence has inspired rivals, such as the Mazda Mazda6 and the Toyota Camry, to up their games, while newcomers, such as the Kia K5 and Hyundai Sonata, also offer strong competition. But the Accord remains the benchmark in this class. The 2022 Accord scores a rare hat trick. It's not just a comfortable family hauler, it's also highly entertaining behind the wheel, and it boasts elegantly simple design inside and out. The Accord deserves a place on the list of anyone shopping for a midsize sedan.

The Honda Accord is the only vehicle to be in Car and Drivers 10 best list for 36 years in a row.

I have a 2006 Honda Accord I still have it with 180, 000 miles . Trading it for another Honda Accord 2011 with 35, 000 miles on it. Love the Accord because is dependable and handling is good. My 2006 never left me stranded on the road and I live in the east coast with all 4 seasons so cars take a beating with winter salts. But engine just keeps going. Best investment ever made in terms of all my previous cars which only lasted 5 years . Had it for 16 years and don't regret having it as long as is just regular maintenance car is an amazing piece of engineering. 👍

We drove 2 Honda Accords up and down the east coast for 12 years. Both Accords drove extremely well and I had no problem finding buyers when we moved again. Good reliable car!

the accords had recalls in 2019, 2020, then in 2021 & 2022 there were no recalls as Honda fixed those issues anyway that’s my theory I love the Accords such reliable cars.

The hybrid is probably the best option. It's power train has better performance than the 1.5T and the fuel savings are prodigious. The 2.0T would best be paired with AWD to get the most of the power it offers but Honda doesn't offer it. Too bad.

The depreciation may be changing but it's also a sedan in an SUV/CUV world of buyers. I still like sedans and I've been shopping them around. They may not sell the most but it's hard to beat how excellent a car this is in so many regards, especially at the price point.

I had a 1986 Accord LX for 11 years and it was one of the BEST cars I have ever owned. But I still have my 1998 Camry LE with only 141K miles on it and I want to keep it for as long as possible. I bought it new in October 1997 and it is the BEST car I have ever owned! And on this new Accord, I HATE that push button shifter but like just about everything else other than the prices for the car.

Went to purchase a new Accord a couple of years ago.
It was bad enough the two door coupe was discontinued but no more V6 engines was the dealbreaker.

Thank you for the positive feedback on the video. Regarding your inquiry about purchasing a pre-owned 2022 Honda Accord Touring (non-hybrid), specifically the choice between the 1.5L and 2.0L engine options with CVT transmissions, I understand your concern. A comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of each engine, considering your preferences, is necessary to aid your decision-making process. Could you please clarify your typical driving needs and priorities (e.g., fuel efficiency, performance) to help determine which engine best suits your requirements?

reasons: the 2.4 high revving engine with the 7200 redline was the apex. 1.5 has had bad press for oil dilution. nissan's cvt ruined cvt reputation for everybody. the 2.0 liter with the ten speed auto makes the 1.5 even less desirable. i'll drive my 2.4 exl 2008 into the ground before i pony up for today's turbos.

Does it come with ivory leather interior? I don’t see that option on the build site.

I think the market is so spoiled on SUVs that nobody wants to really have a sedan anymore. Especially with older buyers who don't have particularly good es and just want a comfortable car to get in and out of. So as the prices of vehicles go up less and less people can afford it and your buyers are coming older with the Accord because that price keeps going up. Therefore you have buyers that go to SUVs as opposed to buy us a sedan.

I love my Honda accord sport. Wish it had AWD though.

Have the 2020 Accord EX-L. 1.5 l turbo. Has plenty of power. Handles great. Roomy. Test drove the 2.0, nice, but not worth the extra money...plus I don't really push the rpms that much. Only negative is an occasional light vibration at low rpm when accelerating can't locate the rattle. Did buy the 8 year extended warranty.
