Avidyne IFD540 Pilot Training Webinar, Featuring Trip Taylor (Free)

SocialFlight is pleased to announce that Trip Taylor of Adventure Flight Training will be hosting an Avidyne IFD540 Training Webinar on Tuesday, December 16th at 8pm EST. Training will focus on how to operate the IFD540 in actual in-flight scenarios such as loading a flight plan, direct TO operation, intercepting airways, flying radials, handling deviations from ATC, entering holds, and approach workflow.

Trip Taylor holds a Commercial pilot certificate with Instrument and Multi-engine ratings. A pilot since 1978, Trip has logged over 8000 hours and has given over 2500 hours of flight instruction.

I now have about 10 hours of flight experience the IFD540 and find it meets every expectation.  Speed of entry agility and not dependent upon only touchscreen.  Add to this the new Bluetooth keyboard and WOW!  30 seconds to program my average 2 hour flights (from my Pre-planning on Foreflight). So very user friendly.

I sincerely appreciate the programs, but hope you will get some better audio on the webinars. It's weak and distorted. With current technology, it should be very cheap to accomplish.

It works great on dock I used for Garmin 530 and connect to ifd100 app

When I push/rotate the CDI knob in the trainer, I only get GPS or VLOC options.
