When our little Griffy died, it just broke me. Been to many funerals for a friend, but we hadn’t lost a child quite like this in our family. An illness slowly stole him away. Short coffins are the heaviest ones, I hope you never have to find out.

The only thing that made it feel better is that he was with the ancestors, happy, cared after, free from pain, smiling and looking down.

The lyrics are so eerily relatable. Especially the family parts. We all ached together but sent him away well that day. But every day still aches and aches and aches and I have to do it alone. When I eventually lost the apartment and was sleeping under the stars I knew he was looking down on me. I can't wait to be with him ❤️
