Dear Khoj (Passing by),

There comes a point, when we all hit absolute rock bottom. We keep swimming in this gyre of darkness - tumbling, drowning, gasping for life until one day we give in. We start existing like a speck of dust - invisible, redundant, dead. We let the vortex consume us. And on one such day, I met you.

For the first time in my days of profound loneliness, I had hope. A slight ray of sunshine in a weather as dark and ominous as that of a funeral. You awoke a certain thirst in me that I still haven't been able to quench. A thirst for the unknown - places yet to be discovered, sunrises yet to be witnessed, memories yet to be cherished and so much more.

You made me brave. You gave me the courage to break through the shackles of monotony and the mundane. You helped me accept my flaws and own my quirks. You taught me that somedays can be excruciatingly agonizing but don't rainbows appear right after a heavy shower? You introduced me to myself, love.

You reminded me how to live again. You held my hand and pulled me out of my bubble of gloom. You reminded me that the world is a fascinating place and I, a traveler who's yet to explore it's many jewels. You taught me that once in a while, it is okay to get lost. Because on our way back to ourselves, we just might stumble upon one of the best things. I can finally dance in the rain again, write about the stars, sing without a care, fall in love and above all be free.

I was in Andaman and Nicobar islands last month and every day I used to wake up at 4 am to catch the sunrise and walk on the beaches to get a glimpse of coral life (low water current at that time), and with me accompanied my Bluetooth speaker and a playlist full of wcmt songs. Best time ever. The glowing water, cute little crabs, small strange fishes and lonesome people, everything.
And this song was my favorite to play all along, specially that hindi verse, just melts me everytime, cheers!
