Here’s “Sarah Dear”, a 1905 song by Scott Joplin with words by Henry Jackson. It was published by the Bahnsen Music Company of St. Louis, and according to the cover was originally performed by a vaudeville duo known as Williams and Stevens. We’re excited to announce that we will be performing this song (as well as other gems of the ragtime era) at the annual Scott Joplin gravesite memorial concert this Saturday! Charlie will be playing piano with Dan Levinson’s Roof Garden Jass Band, and our trio (featuring Brian Nalepka on bass) will be performing the “half time” show. It all takes place at St Michaels cemetery in Elmhurst, Queens this Saturday, May 14th, at 2PM. Don’t miss it!!

Extraordinaire Miss Maybell qui chante dans l'esprit de l'époque avec un timbre de voix quasi "phonographique" 😊
