So in clause, basically academies who are not following the national suggestion of pay for teachers must follow the national suggestion. So this means that when teachers are being overpaid in academies they may be brought down to fit within the suggestion, but it also means where academies are paying less, they will be paid more. So to use this as their main point to fight against the bill…it’s not a great argument really

Speaking as a professional biologist who has worked alongside many medical doctors, I wouldn't trust medical doctors to teach biology. Not unless they retrained as actual biologists.
