Every Artist Needs to Hear This

Draw insane details in the free mini lesson! ^

In the Mindful Drawing Course we will learn intutive drawing which is a process that saved me from perfectionism. I wish someone had taught me this way of drawing when I was a beginner because it would have made my artistic journey much easier

In this video lesson I discuss how reading this ancient philosophy changed my approach to my art and life in general. Learning the importance of putting in effort without feeling entitled to the outcomes of that effort really changed everything.

I used to feel quite entitled when I was in my 20s, I felt frustrated that the world wasnt giving me the outcomes I wanted. After implementing this philosophy over many years I have become a much more joyous person

I love the philosophical angle you bring up here (not just because I cherish the only A+ I got in my undergrad, which was a sessional overview course on Indian Philosophy.... I never did read more than excerpts of the Bhagavad Gita though. I should change that!). I also really struggled with shame and anger around art for years, and I think this mindset is overlooked in a lot of art advice online. Thank you! Also love your line quality & fluidity.

Another great vid and advice in general. I’m so glad i found your channel and your art is amazing. Out of interest, how long does one of the drawings like the one in this video take from start to finish, pencil sketch to fully coloured?
