How could the writers see that intimidating mask and overwhelming speed and power under a thought-provoking revolution labelled The Equalists and think it was a good idea to kill Amon off?

Honestly Amon was my favourite thing about season 1, and I enjoyed his portrayal and backstory but his ending just seemed too quick. They also paid too much attention to Korra’s love life instead of the damn plot but anywho

Best villain and best season. He was the best villain after Ozai in the avatar universe for me. And I'm sad that all the other bad guys of the lok didn't have a backstory. Because even though the writers didn't have enough time, they could make them at least one episode in order for us to understand why they did what they did. Like demon slayer. In this anime almost every bad guy has a backstory of some minutes in order for the audience to feel sorry for him and feel like they are human people too.

I like Book 1 and 2 (not sure about 3 and 4 since I'm still watching them) but Amon himself could have been used for at least 2 seasons.
And maybe Spirit for Season 3 and 4. They could have expanded the Avatar Wan part. I really liked Wan's story.
They could have gone further with the Legend of Korra.
