Hi Drone Valley! Fantastic Video, I loaded Verifly to my iPad Mini II while watching this presentation. It's perfect! My insurance quotes, even through the Professional Photographers Association were through the roof if I needed anything over 1M$. I was so glad to find out that Verifly covers my area and since I use the iPad to control my quad anyway, it's a perfect marriage of necessity and convenience. Thank you for this video! I'm IN! Thumbs UP. I'm only flying commercially a few times each month, so no contest.

Hi dear Rick! First thank you for all your efforts and the information you share with us.
Second, here in Iran, too, they recently have made drone insurance available. There are two representatives in the whole country & they are expanding. I was happy to find they do it & they are going to send me the forms & info so I can insure my Mavic Pro.
I was always frightened what I can do if it causes any loss by falling on a car, person, or place. Now it is going to be solved.
I think insurance is a mandatory for drones just like cars, for accidents can not be foreseen and are very costly.
Thanks man for your clips again.🙏

Outstanding video. I had insurance quoted from another company and it was nearly as much as my car insurance!! This is a terrific solution. Thank you for posting this!

As usual Rick, you give a great presentation, but darn, verify isn't available in Canada. Any advise?

thank you Rick for the information. I do have a question about the insurance. It is about the 1/4 - 1/2 mile coverage. I have the opportunity to take video and photos of land, specifically ranches. This will require more size or coverage area and possibly be in areas with limited or no cell coverage. What can I do about this issue? Thank you

What do you think about an umbrella policy for a recreational flier? Seems the price would be about equivalent (or better) for a year of flying plus covers a lot more things.

Rick, you mostly seem to talk insurance for commercial purpose, what about non-commercial use? Is it the same cost? What is the average price you've experienced? For hobby use, what about the ADA insurance?

Hi Rick!

Great video thank you!!
Soon I will travel to Germany and I understood that I need to get a third party liability insurance in order to fly my Mavic Pro just for recreation purposes. So my questions is do I need to have a Part 107 certification in order to get a third party liability insurance??, and this Verifly Insurance has a full worldwide coverage? or just for USA.
Also I use the iPad mini 4 to control my Mavic, but the iPad doesn't have GPS so that Verifly Insurance will it work?

Cheers!

Excellent video and information. While you were speaking with the company did you happen to discuss flying in areas that are currently shown with the red "choose another area" circle after receiving the appropriate exemptions and clearances?

How is this different from the insurance offered by the AMA? Is that not sufficient?

Installed a while ago but still have not used. You mentioned adding your client as a secondary. Was not sure where in the process that is accomplished.  I guess nighttime flight will not be covered even if a FAA waiver is issued for a part 107 pilot?  Thanks

let's try this again. I am doing a photoshoot for a cycling event this November that I'm volunteering my service to. This cycling event will cover up to a 50 mile radius and I will be trying to catch riders along the different routes. it will mean be in different locations for 5 to 30 minutes. What would you recommend as a insurance for this event the Verifly looks great but if your going to be in a set location.

Just looked on the website and it covers America only, hope the spread their wings after an initial success. Great clip BTW!

I haven't read all the questions so this may have been asked, but my question is when doing real estate footage, does the 1/4 radius coverage include the interior and exterior (some of my RE agents want shots inside the house too)? I'm using a DJI P3P.

Mapping applications, especially with fixed wings typically fly a grid pattern, which would waste precious flight time if restricted to a circle. Is there any thought about an option to choose a square, rather than circular extent? It seems like spaced could as easily be calculated based on area rather than linear distance from the pilot. Or am I missing something?

What about coverage for the drone itself? I have a mavic pro and an inspire 1. The pro I got new and was to put off by the extra 100 bucks for the dji refresh program with the first 48hr deadline right after I spent a grand for the damn thing (unknowing that was going to pop up once I launched the app for the first time, ever) the inspire I got used off Ebay. Hope to hear back. Great channel.

First of all, wow congratulations on your channel growth, your videos are becoming quite popular, I was sent here from a Verifly email! Anyway, I have started a commercial operation, and have Verifly as my primary insurer for commercial flights. Big issue though, it does NOT allow me to fly near a restricted area, which is my entire city due to our tiny local airport. Has this been updated officially? I heard the tail end of your video while typing, sounds promising. My first client is requesting proof of insurance also.

Rick, I'm still in my business planning stage & have been looking at what all I'm going to need to do before I even of taking on my 1st job. These intuitive videos help a great deal, thank you. I love the Verifly idea of "on demand" coverage and think its perfect. My only concern or request maybe for the guys at Verifly, is the possible addition of hull coverage. When something goes wrong, the aircraft will most likely sustain damage as well. How do we protect the aircraft?
