This SCP Foundation reading video is about SCP-2740 (It Wasn't There) -The only information gathered regarding SCP-2740 has been done so through interviews with affected individuals. SCP-2740 appears to instill a sense of intense dread in any individual cognizant of it, although the reason for this is unknown. This effect begins upon entering the house at ████ █. ██ St, or by becoming cognizant of SCP-2740 through discussion with other individuals affected by its anomalous nature.

This SCP is really cool, since it plays on our primal fears and paranoia, especially with basements and attics. Building-based SCPs are pretty interesting!

I think this is pretty deep. The family willfully forgot about some tragedy in their past. The only thing left acknowledged is that this secret tore the family apart and left it the dysfunctional mess we see today. This secret has something to do with the attic. Perhaps a tragedy took place there whose memory they want to avoid. But the family and everyone involved is so keen on forgetting it despite it tearing them apart that it seeps into reality and starts deleting actual physical evidence that it ever occurred. And the last person willing to admit there is something wrong, the daughter, is swallowed up and disappears just to keep the attic's secret.

SCP 2740 is actually Olivia's corpse. Her parents killed her over dispute and olivia is causing everyone to forget because she doesn't want to accept that she is dead due to denial. Both parents talk about Olivia when asked about the attic, that's because that's either where they killed her or where they stashed her corpse or both. The mother specifically said "its not Olivia"; that's because it's no longer Olivia but her corpse; the mom might've been the one that did the deed considering she was able to be up in the attic for a few minutes (she might be the only one that knows what's up there considering the response in her interview), while others dont remember while climbing the ladder. The Olivia in the interview is her ghost but is causing the same effect because listen to 8:20; she just cant accept that she was killed by her own parents (or mother) and prevents everyone (including the parents) from knowing this; she's the only one that actually says she got away from her parents during the interviews; this is further proven when she mentions that the attic involved her and that "no one would find out so soon". A pretty dark but interesting scp nonetheless

ive experienced what i call "the screaming heebeejeebees" every single time i walked near a certain empty concrete room in my great grandparents huge ass barn. wish the foundation could check that place out. im not the only one and the feeling has persisted my entire life. Nothing weird in there. just a small square concrete room with a drain in the center of the floor. GAH! The heebeejeebees! They has me!

I wonder if this one has a secret set of logs of an expedition actually getting into the attic and the O-5 council is covering it up to those who do not have the needed security clearance like with SCP-835. It would make for some very interesting plot and readings.

Not sure what the last bit was supposed to imply. That there really was no evidence of her existing and the scp was so powerful it created a whole scenario...or the scp was so powerful it made the foundation operatives stop investigating without them realizing it.

Oh wow...this one is interesting and intriguing. I feel like an entire novel and especially a movie, could (and should!) be made on this SPC. So much could be done with a back story leading up to current and future events based in the SPC foundation. So very many possibilities.

I'm of the idea that memetic agents, infohazards, and cognitohazards all exist, and as soon as you said the attic itself imposes a feeling of dread, I found myself unable to physically look at the video directly. This is one of the more terrifying SCPs I've read/listened to lately. Its also not just mind-affecting, but it also appears to be reality-warping as well, considering logs exist of events, locations, entities, and even people who don't currently or never did exist, which is a horrifying thought.

Thanks for doing yet another of my requests! When I first read this I knew right away it needed to be a reading for the channel. It really tickles the "nope" parts of my brain, yet is simultaneously so intriguing and leaves me curious to know what the so-called "not Olivia" situated in the attic is. There is something pretty hellish about the idea of a seemingly ordinary home that you and your loved ones cannot escape from, that will constantly draw you back into itself despite every effort on your part, and even from outside agencies like the Foundation. I interpret this phenomena as Olivia's manifested will punishing her immediate childhood contemporaries - the parents, her siblings, her neighbours - for perhaps unwittingly burdening her with their expectations and assumptions. She snapped on some kind of metacreative level and produced this anomaly in a moment of limitless despair and rage.
