Subhanallah, this is one of the animation clips I love so dearly. Ma sha Allah the Muslim way of cooking is very different from the Norwegian way. I am a revert. This is my first Ramadan. And I have a married Arab couple with kids in my neighbour building. And the Imam who I took Shahadah with had given her my number and asked her to look out for me. I am new so to have a sister in faith who helps me (a lot) is Mashallah a true blessing. But Subhanallah, the first time I ate dinner at their house (with my at that time a tounge which was not used to anything else exotic than taco, lol, yes taco is very exotic for us😂) so she spent such a long time cooking and in her case the husband was Mashallah really supportive, Allahumma barik. Because asap I put the dish in my mouth I panicked and took the napkin and didn’t want the kids to see that I didn’t like it and I threw it out and was eating only the bread after that. Subhanallah that is a moment I feel so awful about because she has never cooked that again afterwards, HOWEVER I now know what spice that I reacted so poorly to and now I love it, like really love it, I can literally put the spice in my hand and just lick it without putting it on something. But (😂) I am so scared that she is from the 2nd category, she is even tinyer than me but Subhanallah she does have a temper. Scandinavians are very easy going and actually very hard to really offend because we just don’t feel like arguing, at all😂 But Mashallah I do love her huge attitude issues whenever she gets offended because she is just so genuine and she really gives all effort in whatever she does. Maybe I need to let her know it is okay to cook that dish again..? Yeah in the spirit of Ramadan I am going to tell her how sorry I am about that first time I ever tasted that spice and that I’d love to come for iftar and she can safely make that dish again💚
