Nicely done :) I would suggest next time to move the 5200 bat in direction "a little bit" to the tail. Because the original 2700 has "intentionally" about 40g more "balast" to the nose part. If you dis-balance this extra 40g with over 60g - the drone will "dance" almost all the flight. And even better, I will tell you how to balance it completely. First put the 2700 bat in the drone (stock batt.), wings, canopy, and put the drone on the bottle (cap). Find manually the position where the drone would be balanced (without any mods - just original/stocked). Mark this position with the marker and play modding DIY. After modding, but before the new test-flight put it on the same bottle cap - and center it on the same marked spot position. If it stay balanced you can go to fly, if not - back to the workshop, balancing isn`t quite done :)

Seems to fly pretty well with the FW updates ... except for landings. It still doesn't seem to be able to come in for a decent landing close to the take off point. That's probably my only complaint about it. I guess this is due to its lack of any kind of sensors to sense the ground. A lot of the video was like trying to watch a polar bear in a snow storm .. the fog or clouds don't allow for much of a scenic view in such a scenic area. Pretty impressed with its long flight ability with minor modding. If I didn't have my sights on a Mavic with Fly More package (whenever they get in stock), I might give this one a more serious look. Its a different kind of flying than your typical Video UAV Quadcopter, but that can be interesting too. Thanks for the review. Mahalo!

EDIT: ps ... just went to the Amazon site to see what others are saying about it. Either you got a "good one", or they have some serious quality issues. The 1st 5 'reviews' I read on Amazon were very negative, and the response from Parrot seemed to be more of a 'canned response' than a personal reply. Going back to read some more Amazon reviews ...

Great Video & music, picking up Parrot Disco in the morning, new experience after 14 months with Phantom 4

It seems the 4, 000 battery is the best choice re time extending and not too heavy.

Can you please tell me where online I can purchase these batteries...if the joiner couplings are the same or I have to modify, and what sort of time time do you get with 4, 000 battery if the 3700’s give you approximately 45 mins?

What should I look for in my upgrade battery? Assuming it should be a Lipo, 3cell and have 4000mAh or higher? Anything else you recommend? What weight should it be under?

That powerful battery would be good on a flight instead of a hard flight, I can imagine it would be able to stay in the air pretty long.

Dustin: You did it again! The music and video work great together. You really should research Lithium Ion batteries. The Tesla uses a huge Li-Ion battery. They don't have a high C rating but they have a lot greater energy storage capacity than a LiPo battery does for equal battery weight. The wing is super efficient and doesn't need more than a 10C battery. You could build a custom shaped battery that would fill the entire battery bay area without a lot more weight. The CG would be further back for better flight characteristics. You may be able to achieve 2 to 3 hours flight time. Also your hobby grade charger will charge Li-Ion. ;-)
