Special thanks to our Patreons for their support of the channel! Should I do a safari build with the car?

2022 m340i here. You can disable the eco, comfort, sport transition screens through a menu setting. Can't remember what exactly it was called but go through the menus and it can be done.

Regarding the rear seats only folding down from the trunk, I see that as a positive. Sometimes people will break the rear windows to access folding seats latch and steal from the trunk that way.

Recently purchased a 2021 M340i RWD and man let me tell you, this thing is a quantum leap from my 2010 Lexus ES 350. The suspension and ride quality is leagues better in the ES, but literally every single other aspect of the car is light years better in the BMW. This thing is fuckin beautiful

1. You should delete cold start to remove the loud start, regardless of exhaust.
2. Even with the resonated version of AWE, the exhaust will still be too loud for certain occasions, as you mentioned. You need a valved exhaust such as the MPE or Valvetronic.
3. PS4S is king of all around summer tire. Not sure why you choose that kumho tire, other than price. A dedicated track wheel/tire setup is ideal.
4. Do not upsize past 235/40/19 on stock 8” wheel. It is not optimal due to tire flex during fast cornering.
5. Highly recommend to upgrade SS brake lines and fluid. Will help tremendously on lap times with any pad better than stock. I use CSG endurance pads and are great for daily + track.

Great video. 2022 M340 owner here, this is a great daily driver car and a beast once you go on sport mode. That's when the B58 engine really becomes alive :)

Depending on how long you keep the car and your mod budget, you could always pick up some seats out of a G80 M3 and swap them in. They are direct bolt in and pop up on ebay all the time. That's something I've looked into for my M240i.

Happened to me exactly the same on your sunroof and that piece that rattles is not losen, it’s broken in on end. It is due to an extra gasket that doesn’t let the glass sits properly. Took a while in the dealer to find out. Once the remove the extra gasket and replace the broken part you’ll be fine. I had exactly same issue. Now it’s been a year and it’s great.

With this model of the B58 the reliability issues of the past are mostly solved... not that the B58 was ever considered unreliable.. but in the partnership with Toyota for the Supra, BMW had to meet Toyota's reliability standards which meant the B58 got some nice upgrades.

17:57 The rear seats only fold from the trunk for a very VALID reason. If you have valuable objects, you can put them in the trunk, thieves won't be able to fold the seats (when the break the glass) and steal your belongings. I would argue that It would have been absolutely stupide to be able to fold the seats from the inside of the car.

Agree on the braking, thought I was going crazy haha. Really isn't linear, and have heard its really only on 3 Series for newer years, and some of the X models. On my base 21' 330i, I couldn't stop smoothly unless I turned off auto engine shutoff and put it in sport mode.

I did the 50th roundels front and back, Floating center wheel caps and added back the M badges on the fenders that they delete for us in America.

Bought the CF interior M Performance trim and it's next on my to-do list

Excellent video. I've owned Honda/Acura vehicles for the past 30+ years. I currently own a 2015 Acura TLX SH-AWD V6 which has been a bulletproof car! Here we are 10 years later and I'm getting the itch and want more power.

I'm just not sure about jumping from Japanese to German. I think the M340i xDrive might just be the perfect transition. It has about 100 more horsepower than my current V6 and the B58 is proving to be very reliable.

Thank you for the detailed video. It is educating me on what to expect from a BMW and more specifically, a B58 powered BMW. I also plan on keeping it stock to get the best reliability possible. My main concerns are...

1. Long term reliability and maintenance of going from Acura (Japanese) to BMW (German)
2. Ride quality - I'm not used to lower profile tires producing road noise and potential of hitting bumps too hard causing rim damage

Comments? Suggestions?

The M5 IS heavy. But don't let that distract you from the fact that this M340i is only 10ish kg off from the weight of the previous 5 series sold until 2024!

And yet this car is incredible. Altho the m5 might be TOO much
