New British Comedy: Mum

Subtle family sitcom following Cathy as she moves on from the death of her husband. Starting with the funeral in January and ending on New Year's Eve, the story unfolds through the events of a year.

Strange sitcom. The son is a moron with a super clueless girlfriend who is always saying awful things to Cathy the mother who just became a widow. Cathy never seems to get any help from anyone at home, also never has an opinion about anything. She is like a shy little girl. A male friend is in love with her and follows her around like a lost puppy. They are two older people who never act with authority and are quite hesitant about each other and everything else in their lives.
