You are amazing, no one just gives these data so accurately and casually, thank you so much! Also since eating out is the main reason for me traveling, an exact number I can think around was super important for planning out the journey.

You don’t need a new SIM card for every country in the EU! Just buy one that’s valid for all of the EU. I bought a HoT SIM card in Austria for €10 and it gave me 10GB of EU data outside of Austria

Great job! You covered a lot of ground with that budget. Especially considering it included your international flights. Have fun in Costa Rica and maybe look into Guatemala as well. Such an underrated country.

Thank you so much for this information! Our son graduates in 2025 and wants to go backpacking through Europe this summer. He already went to 5 countries this past summer with EF tours and fell in love with Europe. Now he wants to go on his own. My husband and I are paying for his backpacking so this information helps us a lot. We have put aside $10, 000 for him to be able to do this.

How did you manage working out while traveling? Did you buy one day gym passes wherever you went? And how much time did you spend working out each day and how did you find that time?

Hey Noah, im about to leave for a similar trip and am wondering more about the flight baggage allowance and being allowed a personal item/smaller bag + your bag, which would be ideal. do you have any knowledge of eastjet or ryanair flights perhaps?

Don’t know if you’ll see this comment but what was the language barrier like? Did you often run into people who spoke English or was there some difficulty there?
