Hiding a Field in a Continuous Form in Microsoft Access. You Can't Use Visible Property!

In this video I will show you how to hide fields on a continuous form based on the value of another field. Hint: you can't use the visible property.

Bruce from Plano TX (a Gold Member) asks: I have an order list form which is a continuous form showing all of my recent orders. On there is a ship date. Is there any way to hide the date field completely if the order type is "online" instead of "shipped?" I tried setting the visible property to NO in the OnCurrent event, but that hides ALL of them.

There is no Extended Cut for this video.

Thank you for an informative video. I was little unclear about the On Current event, so this help clarify how it is used.

I am using Access 2019 and I am trying to hide a tab control page based on the value in a field that is populated from a combobox. Contitional formating is not available for that short of thing. Is it even possible to do something like this? Thanks in advance.

Hi sir, really interesting, thank you. But I would like to know, what if I had 2 action buttons for every single record in a continuous form and I want to hide one of the buttons when field is = to 1 for example? because conditionnal formatting doesn't work with buttons. Thank you

Very informative. It worked for me in forms. But when I tried to create a report the vba seems not working at all. All the fields which where set to be invisible is visible for some reason.
