Looking for help and found your YouTube channel, nice JOB! I want to build a Trackless Train, running on 12 volt with a 250 amp 12 volt alternator (may have to change RPM). I want to use the WS2815 LED string lights and at 60 leds per meter (or 300 per 5 meter) will need a total of 900 lights, total length is less than 246 feet (grand total). I plan on one channel to start in the center of the locomotive, run down the right side up and around the roof, jump to the coal car (top), down to the passenger car (top) and jump to the caboose (top) to end (70 feet of lights each side), exact for the left side, running front to back. The second channel would also run from the front of the locomotive (bottom) to coal (bottom) to passenger (bottom) to caboose (bottom), except it is only 42 feet of lights each side. The longest run is 28.8 feet (locomotive), so I would add more 12 volt at points as power needed (9 ½ feet, or 1/3) in Locomotive, probably at 8 ½ feet in passenger (at ½) and 7 in caboose (at ½)).
Patterns or my definitions of different light setting one can made, and run for a couple of seconds to minutes, then move to the next pattern. Example would be running a single pixel from start to back and back to front (20 second). Another would be candy canes, 6 lights of red and 6 sets of white moving up and down the total lights (1 minute) and so on. As the engineer driving, I don’t have time to change patterns while driving around the yard, loading and unloading. If there is a controller out there that can save different patterns in memory or a SD card, If known. If not, I NEED HELP.
Doesn’t say anything about being able to saving light patterns.

Can you help? Hope I explained myself!
