London lamp posts turned into car charging points

A German tech company is helping to transform London's street lights into charging points for people with electric cars. . Report by Conor Mcnally.

This is necessary if battery cars are to get anywhere. Our family has no off road parking, so an electric car is impossible at the moment without on-street charging. I see an issue of H&S with trailing leads on public thoroughfares though.

You need the cable to extend out the lamp post otherwise people are just going to steal them.

90 percent of car pollution has been dealt with, with e10 fuel and cat converters so we have minimal pollution. it takes the same c02 to produce an electric vehicle battery as running the average petrol car for 15 years electric cars emit EMF from motors which can cause cancer miscarriage autism. The batteries need replacing every five years and we are left with pollution and toxic waste just so the air can be 2.3 percent cleaner. We haven't even recycled 90s phone batteries yet as they are toxic to the environment and are sitting on landfill areas rotting away and leaking toxins which will pollute the soil surroundings for many years making area unusable except building curds flats with crampy cladding at overpriced prices that only last 40 years. The first electric vehicles had lead sheets around and under seats so that rays would not harm passenger's but no one cares about human life all about scam and money.
