Mosaic flows | Olga Goulandris | TEDxAUEB

Показать описание
The life of a visual artist is one of a constant research. I ask myself questions and I seek answers within my work, again and again, with various levels of success or …failures.
It is a constant dialogue between experience and creativity.
My search has come to permanently revolve about PHOS (light). The reflections, the way it divides things and travels on all surfaces and I am able to do this with the different materials as my weapons and ancient mosaic techniques.
The answers sometimes change drastically and other times minutely.
I said that life flows on and so should mosaics. They should flow on just like paint on an artist's canvas. I do not intend for my work to be perceived as a static object, I want the observers to find no end and that they don't just see the mosaic, but feel the atmosphere and for a moment, to be engaged, integrated as part of the work they see before them.
