Autotrophs are known as producers because they are able to make their own food from raw materials and energy. Examples include plants, algae, and some types of bacteria. Heterotrophs are known as consumers because they consume producers or other consumers. Dogs, birds, fish, and humans are all examples of heterotrophs.

Autotrophs:- organisms that make their own food is called autotrophs.
Heterotrophs:- organisms that directly or indirectly depend on plants are called heterotrophs, they also do not make their own food.

Thank you so much byju's for this wonderful session 🎉

Mam i really loved the session. You taught in a very nice way. The best part was the starting story part 😊 and i also loved the chain in which you told that if plants aren't there then the deer and lion can't live, and if only deer and plants are there then the plants will finish fast and eventually the deer will die too. I really loved this chapter. Actually I'm a ICSE student but still i think that seeing CBSE videos is not a harm or something because at the end of the day we're gaining knowledge only. I didn't know what autotrophic and heterotrophic was cuz it's not there in my ICSE syllabus but still after watching this video I'm really clear about the topic and I'm interested to know more. I hope you bring a part two. Actually in ICSE we have plant and animal tissues in the first chapter. Plant and animal tissues is really difficult. Could you please bring a session on plant and animal tissues. I hope you understand.

The living organisms that make their own food are known as autotrophs while heterotrophs are the organism that do not make their own food and depend on plants for their food.

Auto means self and trophs means nourishment whereas hetero means other while trophs means nourishment

They prepare their own food using the process of photosynthesis while heterotrophs don't prepare their food using processs of photosynthesis. They derive their food by taking from them.

Autotrophs perform autotrophic nutrition while heterotrophs perform heterotopic nutrition.

Autotrophs examples are green plants and heterotrophs examples are animals human beings, etc.

The class was really really helpful and amazing 🤩

hi mam i am vanshika. i really liked your teaching skills and you are an excellent biology teacher. i hope you remember me i was in virtual quiz of science riddles. homework answer- autotrophs are the organisms those prepare their own food e.g-green plants, cynobacteria and certain fungi, while heterotrophs are the organisms those are dependent on others for their food e.g-all the animals including humans.
thank you mam for this wonderful session

HOMEWORK QUESTION
Q)DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HETEROTROPS AND AUTOTROPHS?
Ans)heterotrops are the organisms that are not able to make it's own food from the simple substance but obtain ready-made food prepared by the green plants.
Autotrophs are the organisms which makes it's own food from the simple substance like CO2, WATER and etc....organisms that use autotropic mode of nutrition are called AUTOTROPHS.
Thank
I really loved the session...and I loved the of the teaching...

Autotrophs are the organisms which make their own for by the process called photosynthesis and example plants. Heterotrophs are the organisms which cannot make their own food and there they are dependent on autotrophs.

*HOMEWORK QUESTION*
Autotrophs are organisms that prepare their own food and gain nutrition independently, especially plants; while on the other hand Heterotrophs are organisms that are dependent on other organisms to gain nutrition, this consist of humans, animals and some other plants that grow in nutrition deficient areas.

Autotrophs: The organisms that prepare their own food using simple inorganic substances are known as autotrophs. These organisms are independent and do not depend on other organisms for their nutritional requirements. Examples:- Green Plants

Heterotrophs: The organisms that cannot prepare their own food due to lack of materials are known as heterotrophs. These organisms do depend on other organisms for their nutritional needs. Examples:- parasitic plants, animals, human beings etc.

Difference between autotrophic and heterotrophic is:-
Auto=Self. Trophic=Nutrition
Autotrophic organisms prepare their own food from simple substances like carbon dioxide and water by the process of photosynthesis.All green plants and some bacteria are able to prepare their own food.
EX-Green plants

Hetero=Other. Trophic=Nutrition
Heterotrophic organisms obtain their food from the other organisms.Animals and non-green plants are heterotrophs.
