So adding multiple jar/ war to single tomcat instance can be accessible at same port. Only on using diff tomcat instance pointing same port throws error ' some application already running in same port'..Correct me if i m wrong

It is not multiple instances of Tomcat!
It's multiple pages (webapps) on ONE instance of Tomcat
