Speed Mixing a Metal Song in 10 Min (START TO FINISH)

How good can a song sound if you only spent 10 minutes mixing it? It's not impossible to get a pretty decent sounding mix in that short of time....but you MUST focus on only the most important things. This video will teach you how to do just that!

In this weeks video I challenge myself to speed mix a metal song from raw drums and all DI guitars and bass to a finished mix in only 10 minutes.

There was no time set up complicated sidechaining or parallel buses.... almost all of this mix is just getting the basics right... good tones, volume balance, and EQ.

Mixing in 10 minutes? Man, it takes me days or even weeks to mix just one song : /

It's absurd ! You can't mix a song without even listening to the song as a whole ! And you can't mix a song without starting by leveling each part in relation to the whole song. What you are doing is just listening each part 2s and applying some FX. Leveling is the most important stuff you need to do while mixing. It seems the mix was already balanced when you started, but you don't say that.
Don't make people believe they can mix like that. I don't think it's a good exemple for a beginner...
