From the classic elegance of a reimagined kitchen in our estate’s oldest building to a quirky kitchen hidden in what used to be linen closets to a wonderfully modern kitchen in our Spanish apartment; we’ll guide you through the gorgeous details of each new space. This is weird—some might say crazy—but the English properties, though new and restored, still have a nostalgic and familiar quality to them. I find myself a bit emotional, though I have only seen this through the "magic" of YT. You can feel the history, the love's gained, and the love's lost. The celebrations of seasons of lives moved on, of new lives come forth. The energy and joy of anticipation and the sorrow of disappointment, the laughter and the tears. How did you do that guys!? You made everything so fresh and beautiful and it simply invited in the past to continue its residence. Mind blown! I so look forward to what you will accomplish in 2025. 😘😘

Beautiful kitchens! If I remember correctly, I think you showed the servants' lounge kitchen in the first episode of your tv show and I knew then I was going to like the series. These kitchens show how you can combine space planning, practical budgeting and aesthetics so well. I remember being happy that the bricks were left unpainted in the hay loft. Even though not original, they really give the look of authenticity to an out building renovation in addition to working so well texturally and tonally. Stellar use of mdf -- practical because they're so flat and you've nicely made the cut edges smooth and used proper hinges to support their weight since screws don't bite into them so well. (I learned the hard way). Dean, it'd be nice to hear about some of your past professional projects and how they've informed your projects at home. Looking forward to next week's project!
