I know not many people are going to be happy with her response but take it from a former kpop stan here, I looked for peace and hope in the wrong things while dealing with depression and anxiety in my first year of uni. Sure, I found happiness from their music, also found myself praying less to the point where I completely stopped, spent majority my time obsessing over men and having a hard time lowering my gaze, feeling empty, lost and impatient. I wore a hijab and abaya at the time so i was serious about my deen before i got into it, so yes, shaitan can even get to those struggling with their iman even if they "seem religious". When you allow yourself to feel at ease and in peace from things that are far away from Islam, it'll feel nice at first, but its only built to destroy you soon on. The first thing I did to get back on track with Islam was cutting the thing that impacted my personality the most, which was music. Do not let it control you. It was 100% a struggle, kept going back to it, but I made a commitment to Allah, made istighfar and tried to focus on my salah again. Alhamdulilah its been about more than six months and nothing is a greater priority for me than my religion now :) Just call out to Allah, surely, He will be with you.

I think to use the phrase “Is BTS allowed in Islam?” is incorrect. The members themselves are human beings. The men themselves are not forbidden from Islam. I also don’t listen to their music anymore (I opt for any acapella covers of their songs) as I’ve given up musical instruments but I think “Is listening to BTS’s music allowed in Islam?” would be a better choice of wording.

May Allah SWT continue to protect, guide, and grant them safety in all aspects of their life. Ameen. 💜

SO IMPORTANT to include “I follow the opinion that”! Religious texts are up to interpretation. Respect

I personally listen to music everyday, but I love that you don't judge people who do like music <3

I love BTS because their music have positivity and inspire. I pray as much I can and never stopped prayer however I also listened to their music and made me feel good. To me it's how or what are you listening matters.

Thank you for emphasizing “I follow the opinion that…[insert belief here].” I really respect that. There is so much debate in our own community and I think we would all have better discourse through the respect of each other’s opinions rather than debate.

I am always listening to music, if I am working in my room (home office). I reverted to Islam and music never hurt my imaan or made me stop praying, I've never skipped any Salah Alhamdulillah. I never felt that music can mess up my life because I know how to balance both things religion and music, I just don't listen to music that affect my subconscious like drugs, sex, etc... Well everyone is different and will have different cases, music may lead to the wrong path for ones and not for anothers, and it's ok. If u feel that something is really making it hard for u, just gradually stop doing that, until you completely stopped and try to focus in other hobbies that really makes u close to your religion or smth else. May Allah guide us to the straight path and bless us all. 🙏🏽💖

I know a friend who recently stopped listening to music but she didn't stop loving bts and other bands she still watches their videos where they play games she makes photo edits of them she still stans them and also is very religious in my opinion it's you yourself who choose how to follow ur religion and enjoy secondary things it all depends on how you balance it so yeah ❤

I'm Muslim and a kpop listener, and my parents taught me that as long as I don't stray away from Allah and worshipping Him the best I could at every given moment, it's alright to listen to music :] so that's exactly what I do! I often find myself listening to beautiful girls or guys singing and say 'mashAllah' unconsciously :) I also try to remind my friends and people I know to metion Allah in everything they do! I myself am trying harder to fix my prayer times and making more duaa everyday. I find myself making duaa before sleeping after reading my Quran and crying, feeling like Allah swt is really close to me :D I follow this opinion a lot and try my hardest not to stray away from religion, reading Quran and listening to it as much as I remember because in the end, Allah only asked us to try our best :D may Allah lead us to Jannah and see our loved ones there, may Allah bless us with His mercy and glory for He is the most Glorious, the most Merciful, may Allah help us in our lives and strengthen our trust in Him! sorry for the long comment, and thank you if you've read it all!

I am a Muslim girl and also an army...
But being a BTS fan doesn't mean that I'm obsessed with them..the time I was very lonely and prayed Allah for someone in my life as I'm a very introverted person..and that is when I got BTS..I take is as a gift from Allah.. and thank him every single day..for them
After Allah bought them in my life I'm more grateful to Allah.. I try to be regular in my prayers...I try to be regular in reciting quran...and manage the rest and that is happening good alhamdolillah...
BTS has positivity in there lyrics...happiness 💜 so I'm very happy that my life has changed towards a positive path
And one more thing
My biggest bad habit which I couldn't stop..I stopped it after they came in my life I prayed to Allah for something for them as in return I'll never repeat my bad habit..and because of that I left it..
I'm really happy to be an army...along side praying to Allah..

The title should've been like "Is listening to BTS allowed in islam" because 'Is BTS allowed in islam' sounds kinda disrespectful and rude

I was a Exo -L and a Multistan...
I loved Music without knowing its haram...And used to keep dp, Status and all with my favs or bias....One day someone told me Its haram to see non mehram man for hours or drooling over them...Indeed Music is haram because the Industry is so Creepy but you can hear Vocals alone if it doesn't have vulgar lyrics like Violence, Intimate words...I know a lot of BTS songs are bases on "Love yourself" but you know what We know only one part of these Idols not the other part...Even your friends will turn against you one day and show their real face....I know its hard to accept like "No no i know about them they are so Kind hearted, Polite and All" Yes they may or may not be...Just try to reduce it and hear Nasheeds it will really help...And if you ever planned of Visiting SKorea to attend concert I really wanna say this.. Baekhyun of Exo said " Don't waste your money Buying Albums and Tickets to support us instead buy good clothes, eat your fav dishes with that money and take care of your self" Once Upon a Time Baekhyun was my bias but now i learned Our Only Real Role Model is Muhammad Nabi SAW who cryed for 1400 years ago and Even though the doors of Jannah is only opened for him at First He goes to Allah (SWT) and begs to take his Ummah with him to Jannah...And here we are saying I love this grp and that grp Who doesn't even know we exist.

I LOVE how you never shy away from your opinion despite the fact that most people will likely disagree with you. Even though we have different beliefs, your example of faith and dedication inspires me to follow my religion more faithfully.

Playing music (trumpet) is my passion and gives me drive in life, give me motivation to stay focused in college. I can't imagine a world without music :o

But that's my life. Everyone can have their opinion as long as they don't harm others!
