Star Citizen│ How to BUY/EQUIP a BACKPACK ( Light, Medium, Heavy ) -AREA 18 - Tutorial for Beginners

It doesn't matter where you buy, the concept is the same. I am in area 18. Find your Armory Seller and find the armor suit you like. Make sure you buy the right one as there are 3 types of armors Light, Medium and Heavy.

To equip a backpack, you need a TORSO armor "only".
Armors comes in 5 parts - Helmet, Torso, Legs, Arms, Undersuit ( aka Flight Suit )

You already have an undersuit as a new player so you don't need to buy another one unless you want that "new" look. But if you wear armor over it, no one will see the difference tbh. Undersuit are also considered as Flight Suit.

If you buy a Light Back Pack, you need a LIGHT TORSO armor or Medium or Heavy. That's it.

If you buy a Medium Back Pack, you need a MEIDUM TORSO armor or Heavy.

If you buy a HEAVY Back Pack, you need a ARMOR TORSO armor.
