TAQADAM Accelerator 2019 Showcase

TAQADAM is a Saudi Arabian university startup accelerator delivered by King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST) in partnership with Saudi British Bank (SABB). The program equips Saudi university students, staff, faculty and recent graduates with the tools needed to launch a technology-based startup.

The third TAQADAM cohort includes 28 startups with 100 founders, of which 27% are female, from 13 different Saudi universities. TAQADAM startups are from industries across healthcare, agriculture, water, food, consumer services, gaming, education and more.

The final showcase took place in KAUST, on September 26th, 2019 where 18 startups pitched on-stage and 7 startups received additional funding and the total awarded was over 2.4 million SAR!

The recipients are:
Firnas Aero - Drones-as-a-service for airport infrastructure inspection.
GlucoJet - Game changing tech for pain-free diabetic glucose testing.
Peregrine Genomics - A next-generation genomic diagnostics solution.
Genos Tech - Transforming microalgae into high value products.
Faseeh - Using gaming to teach the Arabic language.
Talon Dust Control - A liquid spray on dust control solution.
And our People’s Choice recipient! Carbon CPU - transforming food waste into animal feed.
