Triple H and the NXT roster pay tribute to Dusty Rhodes

WWE's COO stands with the NXT roster in order to honor the passing of a member of their family.

Everyone on the stage looks absolutely heartbroken. Lets you know just how much Dusty meant to NXT and vice versa.

Looking at this, you can see how far and deep Dusty's influence in NXT went. He molded and shaped these performers like his own children, hell he was the one who gave Enzo a chance to talk on the mic before anybody else. What breaks my heart the most is the tweet that Owens put out after finding out about his death; how he had been meaning to stop by the performance center and thank Dusty for everything he had done for him and show him how much he meant to him. Sadly Owens will never get that chance, and you can see how heartbroken he is here. God Bless you Dusty, you will be greatly missed.

Dusty touched all of these people as much as he did anyone. NXT was his brainchild and he gave so much to the industry. RIP Dusty, you will be missed.

The most heartbreaking thing is that this is the first ten-bell salute everyone on the NXT roster has ever been a part of.

The main roster looked really sad when they did this on MitB, but you could tell that they were somewhat used to it. They have seen so many of their peers die over the years that a ten-bell salute just becomes customary in a way. 

For these young guys and girls at NXT, this is their first taste of a very sad reality that comes with being a part of the wrestling business; and it came at the cost of losing someone who must have been an immense part of their lives.

You can tell that Triple H was trying so hard to keep his emotions in check. Dusty treated everyone in the NXT roster as his own kids...I felt like everyone of them was going to break down as soon as the bell started to ring. RIP Dusty Rhodes gone but never forgotten~❤️

It's clear he was very close to a lot of the NXT talent. Came up with a lot of their gimmicks and saw most of them as future stars of the company. He'll be missed.

I've been a professional wrestling fan since I van remember. I grew up in New Jersey and being on the east coast of the U.S.A was awesome because I got to see WWF, WCW, ECW...etc and Dusty in all of his incarnations was the man. Promos were the best, in ring could hang with Flair, Funk, Race for an hour or 10mins and it would be the greatest thing ever. I cry every time I hear those 10 tolls that pretty much is the pro wrestling way of paying respect and saying goodbye and unfortunately in the last few years we have heard too many tolls. R.I.P

I was in shock when I first heard this My dad and I got to meet him back in 2013 on one of the episodes of Monday Night Raw. My dad took me as a late graduation gift even tho we drove out of state to get there. I wish I couldve gotten a pic but meeting him was enough for me. Just the short time we spent talking to him was an honor and he was truly a kind person even got to give him a hug and shake his hand. Glad my dad got to enjoy it to since he grew up watching Dusty.
