Brown and green are my go-to colours, both on their own and together. I always used to think brown was a boring colour but over the past few years I've come to really love it, there are so many really beautiful shades of brown, and worn with blue, green or pink they can make some really gorgeous outfits.

One of the loveliest and quite sophisticated combinations with brown is lilac and the purple hues - whether they are soft and muted or more punchy. And I found that inspiration in a strange place - a friend's chocolate labrador grinning at me!

I've recently learnt how amazing a rich warm chocolate browns look against my deep-caramel brown skin and black hair. Brown with gray, pink, light purple or soft blue are my favorites. Being a soft summer it's tricky to find a good brown, so I mostly wear it away from my face. Mink is a good shade for me. I got a faux croc bag in a darker brown that I love in the cooler seasons. 🥰🍂
