Whenever this ship takes this take, my heart breaks a bit. Hunter has an incredible amount of problems, and Willow has her own, but sometimes I feel like the life Hunter was handed IS his problem, so it'd be natural if he felt it's all him. That he's a burden and the best thing for people, Willow included, is to not be dragged down. That his life is a harbor and, if Willow comes close, he's just going to be an anchor.

I love this song so so much. The first song I heard from the Crane Wives was The Garden but Never Love an Anchor was the most impactful for me. It's so hauntingly beautiful and tragically happy. It doesn't strike me as pining for love lost, but as a mother who chose to give up their own child for adoption in the hopes that they might have a better lofe away from her. It just hurts in such a cathartic way.

i looove the texture and the colors. the off-white. used in the art of this it makes it feel like. warmer?? than if it were a more pure white idk how to describe it haha. and your artstyle!! the way you draw the faces is soo good and soft looking. also it's a little thing but i love all the extra scars you drew hunter with i feel like that kid would have so many :(
