Dear Admin,

I am working on a React Single Page Application.

Due to some business needs, I want to use my CUSTOM_PAGE_VIEW rather than using the Default PAGE_VIEW in the GTM SIDE.

So I disabled sending the default SEND_PAGE_VIEW as FALSE from GTM.

May I know, Will CUSTOM_PAGE_VIEW affects any other valuable reports belonging to default PAGE_VIEW like Page Views, Screens, Session Views, Average User Engagement Time, etc...?

What are the things I have to be aware of when disabling the default SEND_PAGE_VIEW as FALSE from GTM?

I'd say the avg engagement time is just as dubious since I'm fairly certain that its influenced by the bounce rate but we don't see it. Just checked some of the articles on your list and I fail to see how the average engagement/session is barely 1 minute considering the length of the article and the information the reader needs to process.

And the reader in this case is certainly not leaving after 50-60 seconds on the page since they searched for the topic and want to know more about it.

What's really happening is that they actually got what they searched for and left without engaging in more content on your website i.e. high bounce rate / only 1 pageview. And since they interacted with only 1 page, google counts the session as 0 (zero) average engagement time. Basically a 1 minute session with 5 quick pageviews 15 minutes spent on one page according to google in their time measuring statistics.

Thanks for the video! In my pages and screens report, multiple pages are missing even if I copy and paste the page path in the search bar. What could be the cause of this problem?

Where can I click to see a graph of the post over time? Has that gone away with this "improvement" from Google?

what is the difference between looking through the pages and screens versus the landing pages? They are both under Engagement
