I had to stop watching at 7:27. That average slowly coming down and down from 136+ to 123 is just too painful.

If he would have hit that double 18 first try, his average would have been over a 133. He would have beat the previous record of 118 by about 12, 5%. Imagine if someone breaks Usain Bolt's 100m sprint record by that margin, that person would run the 100m in 8, 5 seconds. That puts into perspective what kind of shame it was that he missed those three double 18's.

Love how this popped up. What a night that was. I was sat just left of the cameras at the front. I remember saying to my mate wtf are we witnessing then he proceeded to miss 3 darts a treble 18. Still pure class from MVG. Been lucky over the years of going to the premier league especially in Aberdeen. Phil Taylor’s 9 darter and the world record average no bad. Looking forward to tonight no world number 1 and reigning world champ thanks to covid. Hopefully this time next year we will be back watching the PL live.
