Very attractive jacket. Though the logo on front being just slightly offset was drawing my eyes pretty hard. Minor nitpick.

Just purchased my very first Dainese Leather Jacket, and I could not be more please. I considered several before choosing the Ducati branded G.Hyper also known as the Hi-Tech. One thing you cannot experience in a video is the wonderful smell of the conditioned leather which combined with the quality, fit and feel make you appreciate spending the extra money on such a fine Italian creation.

This defiantly sounds like a jacket I'd be interested in. I can totally see where your coming on the perf note, but its just a non factor for me. As a daily rider, this will fit many roles, and also, for the track day or two I might do every few years, at least I've got a quality piece of gear that would protect me if/when I go down (providing I've got he back protector)

I am 1.73cm height, 95cm chest, 82cm waist, 37.5cm neck, 58cm sleeves.

I have bought the size EU46 and the back protector Manis D1-G1 (The Manis G1 has no gaps in between, no free play at all, it perfectly fits on its pocket)

With or without the thermal liner it fit me like a second skin.

This jacket can be used easily with or without the thermal liner provided, it has no major difference on its fit.

I am riding Yamaha MT/FZ 07.

Quick question, how do you rate the Avro D1 jacket for waterproof ability? And for cold weather (0° Celsius)?

I know leather jackets aren't really made for cold/wet weather, but I was looking for a leather jacket that would perform reasonably well under these conditions.

Hey guys, i have this jacket and using it for already a year, i had few accidents with it, pretty solid and even tho leather have many stratches on it the stitches of the jacket is still not broken, i love it. My question is i dont have chest protector with it and i would like to know what is the name of split chest protector that he is talking about. I made research on it but couldnt find anything.

Great review guys, just as always! I' ve got one questio though: I am currently wearing an Alpinestars Celer Jacket size 54 and the size also says 44 for US sizing. Is that also true for the Dainese Avro D1? So if I am not mistaken I'd need to order the Avro in size 44 if I want size 54 EU? Thanks in advance and all the best from Germany!

I have the previous iteration of this jacket and I love it, although I do like some of the new features on the d1, mainly the velcro closure at the collar. Anyways I was actually planning on purchasing the super speed c2 but I'm holding out in hopes there's a d1 update coming. Do you know if and when a Super Speed D1 is due to arrive here in the states?

Hey guys, would this jacket be more suited to 50-60 degree weather compared to the Racing D1 and Revit Akira? Still on the fence about those. Also what size would you recommend for 6"4 210pounds 44 inch chest guy? 54 or 56? I plan on using the back and chest protectors. Thanks!
