That "chess move" Coach Taylor pulled on Andy Reid when KC was like, "actually we ARE gonna go for it on 4th down, " and they wound up punting was one of many reasons that I really, really like him. This guy's blood type is football.

Also a lot to work on. Clock management for one thing. After the Hurst catch for 17 and a fresh set of downs, KC with one TO, Taylor needed to make sure that the bengals had the ball as time expired. Its what Belichek would have done. You can't give Mahomes time at the end.

Definitely need improvement in special teams. Rarely get good field position after kickoffs.

Home field advantage can be huge in the post-season. But to secure it, you can't get off to a slow start to begin the season. The players and coaches have got to be ready to hit the ground runnning in Week 1 next season. There can't be a "getting the rust off" period like we saw to start this year. There's always a price to be paid for throwing games away.
