Here is another masterclass from March 2024 with the great professor Pavel Gililov just as the one in 2022.
Again it was a great pleasure to learn from him and notice very interesting and important aspects to Chopin playing that I haven’t really thought about or paid as much attention to.
The previous masterclass recording got a lot of attention, so here is the next one. Hope you enjoy!😃

There is a sense of romance in this particular piece that is yet to be experienced by the young if it's to be played from one's soul. My experience as a teacher is that nowadays talented young men are too fixated on perfection, technicalities, and moving on to the next Everest instead of enjoying the music and playing it with love--and that comes in town. This young man has ambition, you WILL achieve all that want but slow down enjoy and listen to the music.

It seems to me that the master class here has no specifics. There are a lot of controversial moments when the performance is criticized from the position of Gililov where he himself is a performer, and he offers his personal ideas, which, in turn, are very doubtful. It seems to me that he did not touch upon the most serious and objective tasks of this music. You play very well. There are just things that you just don't know or don't understand yet, due to lack of experience and information. For example, the 8th bar….I would talk about it for at least half an hour. Gililov's demagoguery about Chopin's dynamics should be forgotten, your forte never sounds aggressive. There are some minor problems with the geometry of the keyboard. But all this is nothing. You're going to be a very good musician.

Terribly arrogant, having feeling, he would just yesterday have speak with Chopin on phone. Just boring
