She literally just...changed lol. Artists change. They go through different phases/eras. I hope she doesn't think about this too much or cares because I imagine this could be really damaging to your mental health. One thing Avril Lavigne can do is, is write the heck out of a ballad. And most if not, all of her ballads are bops! The fact that her label always wanted her to write another *Girlfriend* is insane to me. They never cared about her nor her fanbase. I'm 33 now and have been an Avril Lavigne fan since I was 16 years old. And her ballads are the best parts of her discography. IJS

Very well said. When I was 16 I would only wear black clothes, had 4 piercings and listen to rock mostly (and Avril 😅). Now I am an adult, I changed my point of view, I listen to a lot of genres of music and dress differently, I am still the same person but just evolved haha.
