I don't get it, how long do their beaks grow if they're raised in the wild? Does pecking on trees prevent them from over growing?

How do you do all of those things without getting your fingers bitten off. Our friends have 5 parrots and they will bite the hubby but not the wife, also anyone new they will bite. without anesthesia how do you do it???

Panting in a dog is normal but I know panting in a cat is usually a sign of distress. What about birds? Is panting normal or more unusual in a bird?

I have a blue and gold that I recently got, she was in a bad situation, was in a cage much too small for her and impromper care and diet and no activities and had been in her previous home for 13 years, she has bonded to me and will step up and even give kisses however she is aggressive towards anyone else still, I love her to death and she is in desperate need of getting her nails trimmed but she freaks out if I touch her feet. I have been unable to fin a vet locally that will do her, suggestions please?
