How do I speed up a custom amount? For example 150%?

Thank you for this video, I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to make it. Although you posted 5 years ago, the legacy stands.

Is there a way to reduce the speed by less than half?

is there a way to slow it down in different intervals? for instance 0.75 as fast rather than 0.5 as fast?

Thanks for this video! This is exactly what I needed to learn to finish a project.

Im having the same issue with the speed. The length of my video is nearly 4 hours (im doing a speedart) and even after exporting, it is as if the 'speed' actually cuts the video at the duration of the selected speed increase multiplier. The actual video is in normal x1 speed even after its been exported.

Something I noticed, make sure you use a drag down copy from the project files section, and truncate as needed to show whatever footage you want to effect as slow, backwards, etc. If you use a cut clip piece from a clip you are working on, especially from the same track, this may produce anomalous effects. It took me a while to figure this out after rendering some pieces that came as with a few unexpected results (but they produced interesting results, so I kept them that way).

How would you slow down the middle of one clip (instead of entire clip). For example, hitting a baseball but only slowing down the part where the batter makes contact with the ball?

Can you gradually speed up the time and then go back down?

Well thanks for the tutorial but I was looking for more accurate option. I wanted to scale video from 4:34 to 4:20 without losing clips.

My sound also gets really low-pitched. Is there a way to fix that?

Hi there. I've done all you suggest in this video. The issue is, when I press the export button and export it at 720p 30fps, then it takes a long time, no worries about, but when I want to play it it says that the file is corrupted. So sorry to bother you, but I just can't figure out what I'm missing. I am new to this but not new to computers and programs etc. So I'm missing something. Should I export it as something else? My video has an intro at normal speed, then a sequence of videos that I chose to play at 8x the speed (so that the end video is 25min and not much longer). I've got the normal speed intro and then all the clips of video in sequence after that that I want to go at faster speed (which I did as you suggest). Then on another track I've got music to go with the faster speed clips, but this music is at normal speed. So all the ducks are aligned in a row. I push export but ... what am I missing. I'm repeating myself. I know. Sorry. Please help.

I tried to create a fast motion video with a long clip (5 minutes) and there is a static/zapping sound like electricity mixed in with the audio. Do you know how to fix this issue? It does not happen with very short clips, just long clips. Is it just not possible to speed up long clips in this free software without issues?
