Still loved her Regina. I think she pulled it off really well. She also had experience from the broadway musical so it’s not too bad, and she still pulled it off. Don’t get why people are hating on Reneé- nobody’s perfect; if I was an actor, I’d probably lose the script too.

Do the ppl in the comments not realize that not all professional actors memorize their lines in advance. I distinctly remember hearing millie bobby brown n kit connor mention they prefer to learn them day of bc it lets them give a more natural delivery, n both of them are great actors whos performances are praised n who ive never heard a bad thing abt from the ppl they work with. Also as someone who, like renee, also has adhd i cant help but feel icky seeing ppl call her lazy for having a different approach n one that clearly worked since shes the cast member that has consistently been praised as the standout n only/one of the only good parts of the movie. Im not gonna out right say ppl r being ableist but us ppl with adhd are constantly called lazy for our different approaches that look like lack of care or effort to others, regardless of what the reality actually is, so it just doesnt sit right with me.

If her improvising scenes genuinely works and is done in a way that works well with her costars, then sure. But I have also seen the other hand of that where improvising and lack of memorization only trips everyone else up. Improvisation, if done poorly, can create a lot of chaos that just comes across as over the top. And in acting there gets to be a point where everyone needs to work as a team. If improvising can still accomplish that and get the job done well, then good. If it’s making things worse, then don’t do it.

In other words, her coworkers had to pick up all the slack for her not memorizing her lines. Improv is great but you have to know the script you are departing from for it to make any sense.

It’s sad how Renee has been bullied like this! Everyone has something different! I used to have a huge rash! But it’s gone and I didn’t even know she has an eating disorder!
