What's it like to drive... an Alfa Romeo Duetto

Short video impression of the Alfa Romeo Duetto (1969). Modified with a 2 liter engine instead of the original 1750 cc, uprated brakes, GB alloys and a tripmaster.

The two liter engine makes this Duetto a really nimble car. Handling is better than you'd expect, the tail shaking is normal for a Duetto or Spider. It can be solved, but that should only be done if you're racing it on a circuit.

The exhaust note is what you want it to be. It all depends on how deep you put the loud-pedal in the carpet.

The brakes on this car really will surprise you. The stopping power is incredible. I didn't go flat out in this video, because there were a lot of cyclists, tractors and other cars on the road, which could seriously harm the paint job.

Oh, on the German Autobahn I almost reached 200 km/h on the speedo, top down. Just don't tell the owner... ;-)

Wille its a tripmaster. For a correct measurement of the distance and in the rally sport it formed for many years an unseparatable combination.

@jhillema Indeed, not so pretty. I think the owner is looking for a good original steering wheel...
