The Story of "Titanium 500":
„Titanium 500“ got another boost in popularity when the movie „Pitch Perfect“ opened in the United States in September, and an even bigger boost when the movie hit Europe in December 2012. Since then one of the most asked questions have been: „Where you involved in ‚Pitch Perfect‘?“ and „Is this your mashup?“. The answer is simple. No, I have not been involved, neither it is my mashup in the movie. I assume that they have heard it though, nicked the idea and produced a different version by themselves. I have not been credited for the idea.
„(Don’t Stop) Titanium 500“ is an updated version released on Youtube October 3rd, 2017. I added the vocals of Journey’s „Don’t Stop Believin’“ as well as a harder drop by USAI & Dirty Ducks. It has also been recieved well but had to deal with the same copyright issues as the original mix. In May 2020 it has also been blocked globally on Youtube.
Since I have the insights I can tell you that the Proclaimers video footage that I’ve used is the problem for both blockings. This is the reason I only uploaded the audio this time. Also I’m celebrating 25.000 Youtube subscribers today. Thank you so very much everybody!
